Your safety matters

Zokkoo is committed to providing a safe, respectful environment. This page contains practical guidance for both clients and escorts. Please read it — even if you consider yourself experienced.

In immediate danger?

Call your local emergency services immediately. Do not wait. If you are in the UK, call 999. In the US or Canada, call 911. For international SOS, call 112.

For clients

  • Verify before you meet: Prefer profiles with a verified badge. Always communicate before meeting — a genuine escort will answer your reasonable questions. Lack of real responses is a red flag.
  • Meet in a public place first: For a first encounter, suggest a brief public meeting (a café or hotel lobby). Reputable companions understand and support this.
  • Tell someone where you are going: Share the location and expected return time with a trusted friend. This is basic safety practice for any meeting with someone you don't know.
  • Never pay upfront to strangers: Be wary of profiles that demand a large deposit before any meeting. This is a common scam pattern.
  • Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong — inconsistent stories, pressure, rushed communication — walk away. Your gut is usually right.
  • Use protection: Always practice safe sex. No profile description changes the importance of this.

For escorts

  • Screen your clients: Ask for a real name and phone number. A short video or voice call before a first meeting is reasonable and sensible. Clients who refuse basic screening are a red flag.
  • Share your itinerary: Tell a trusted person the client's contact details, the location and how long you expect to be. Check in with them before and after each appointment.
  • Set clear expectations: State your services, rates and boundaries clearly in your profile and in initial conversations. Misunderstandings cause problems — clarity prevents them.
  • Have an exit plan: Arrange with a friend to call you with a 'rescue call' if needed. Know exactly how you'll leave a venue if you feel unsafe.
  • Keep a record: Keep a brief record of clients you have met — name, contact, date, location. This can be important if an incident occurs.
  • Report problem clients: Use the Report button on any listing, or contact us directly. Reporting helps protect the whole community, not just yourself.

Digital & online safety

Use a separate number: Consider a secondary SIM or a virtual number (such as Google Voice or a WhatsApp Business number) for work enquiries, separate from your personal number.
Watermark your photos: Adding a subtle watermark to your photos makes it harder for others to repost them without attribution and helps prove ownership if content is stolen.
Beware of phishing: Zokkoo will never ask for your password by email or phone. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from us, report it.
Spot fake profiles: Profiles with stock photos, inconsistent details or pressure to move off-platform immediately are common scam patterns. Report them.
